Very last minute decision to spend our final morning in Prague exploring the Metro system after I had seen photographs of it online the previous evening. Underground systems have always been great to photograph, some very modern and clinical looking, others grungy and dilapidated. Prague’s is somewhere in the middle of this, opened in 1974, most designed in a similar style with just a change of colour to differentiate them, but all equally stunning in a stark & brutal manner. It is cited as being the busiest underground system in the world per capita.
Hitting the first station at opening time, we spent a couple of hours visiting each station in turn, largely devoid of people at this time of the morning, jumping off train to shoot for little while, before getting on next train and repeating process.
